I previously worked as a counsellor in mental health and addiction services in Saskatchewan, in addition to working with individuals and families in inpatient and outpatient health care services.
I have a therapy dog named Winston who provides animal assisted therapy. I am also trained in accelerated resolution therapy (ART) and Hypnosis therapy. I also utilize cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness in my counselling.
My areas of interest include trauma (special interest in working with first responders and medical staff), PTSD, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, infertility, women’s health (antepartum, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause) and life transitions. I believe in counselling through a trauma-informed, strengths-based and affirmative approach.
